Hi there. I currently have 5.00 M33-6 on my PSP-1000, and am trying to update to 5.50 D3. However, it gives me this error.



I downloaded directly from the site, so I don't see what could have gone wrong.

Help, please?

It's been a long time since I updated mine, so, I'm not sure if Gen-D3 has everything or if it's just an update patch.

But, did you see a file named 550.pbp on the compacted file you downloaded? Well, put this file at the root of your memory stick. That should be all.

Nope. The entire folder is thus:

xgen-v5-5-50gen-d3-release_1260925491 -> PSP -> GAME -> UPDATE -> EBOOT.pbp

In the folder is a second file.

xgen-v5-5-50gen-d3-release_1260925491 -> Readme 5.50GEN-D3 -> Read me.txt

No 550.pbp at all

That's the link, from the size, I really believe it has everything. If you got it from another place, then maybe you should download the complete version. Just do the same thing, extract do the PSP\game\ folder, and put the 550.pbp at the root.

Or you can try first upgrading for an older version first, I'm not sure if you can do it from 5.00 directly to 5.50 GEN D3.

Yes, you can update directly from 5.00M33 to 5.50 GEN-D3. I did it on two PSPs.

you'll have to download the 5.50 OFW eboot and stick it in the root of your memory stick. GEN cannot supply that.
