 Updating 5.50-B2 to D3 fails
I have a psp phat 1004 with cfw gen b2 5.50 I want to update to cfw gen d3 5.50
I tried the b2->d->d2->d3 path The issue is that b2->d does not work
I have tried many combinations of gen d 5.50 None work on my psp
I even tried to update to gen d3 with xgen updater v5 for cfw 5.50 gen-d3
All of theses methods above give the same problem
I place all the files in their correct locations. Then start the updater from the Game Menu
It starts with the psp animation and fades to black screeen Then it just stays at black. The memorystick blinks a few times and thats all It shuts down
Then I have to turn on the psp. I even tried the xgen updater when I was on m33-6
So here i am stuck with my gen b2
Is there any way to get the cfw 5.50 gen d3
Thanks in advance

Re: gen psp b2 mise à jour d gen ne fonctionne pas
Yep' this is very strange, there are this tutorial http://www.pspgen.com/forums/mettre-a-jour-en-5-50gen-d3-et-le-configurer-t184004.html but its a french version only normaly when you are in 5.50Gen B-2 you can launch the Xgen updater

Hum... Do you have a pandora battery? Use a pandora battery, and with a magic MS reinstall the 5.00 M33, then update with the XGEN updater... I think it's the only solution, I hope that will work

Re: gen psp b2 mise à jour d gen ne fonctionne pas
I'll make a Pandora battery and try. Would you recommend a soft mod or a hard mod Pandora battery.
I'd prefer a softmod because I was told that you could convert back a softmod Pandora battery to a Normal Battery.
Can you please give me a guide or point me in the right direction to get the Pandora battery and mms to downgrade to 5.00 m33-6
Thank You

Re: Updating 5.50-B2 to D3 fails
you can install the Xgen pandora, it would completely reflash the PSP to D3 so should work fine.

Re: Updating 5.50-B2 to D3 fails
I am a newbie but that happened to me to it goes to blank screen flash then shuts off.
What i did was re downloaded the files making sure everything was there? I was helping a friend upgrade to the newest custom firmware it didn't until i realized it was missing alot of filles. So why don't you real download the files.

I have downloaded the files from here itself. I doubt there might be missing files here.

you should still check it, the download might have been corrupted.

Saiki-spirt a écrit: you should still check it, the download might have been corrupted. I thought it may have gotten corrupted. Could you put a md5 hash of the files. I'll compare them with mine. Then we'd know if the files are the exact same.
