Message trigger mod switch
i'm thinking of doing a trigger mod myself, and it's my first mod, but i want a switch, and it turns out that the switch i have is too big to fit anywhere

so i'm wonderring where to get small switchs

and can some put up a tutorial for attaching the leds to the motherboard? like in details, cuz my concept was wrong, didn't work out too well.

the tutorials i can find are for 1000 models, which doesn't work on my 3000

Hello,

You can buy small switches on the forum, here for example.

You can buy a kit that enables you to install sound reactive leds here for instance.

um.. there's just one problem problems

i'm a cheap ass asian, i dont want to spend money on those kits or switches, i just want to take what's around me and put them in... does that make it impossble?

what's around me:
1mm diameter solder
soldering iron, medium size tip with XY 404 on it... dont know what it means
30AWG Kynar (i'm guessing, 1mm diameter)
0603 blue LEDs
for the switch... i'm thinking about taking apart a SD card, and take the lock switch, does that work?.....

hi

your concept can't give a good result because you put a crappy led directly on your mobo.

If you have an electronic shop near your home, visit them and ask for an ultra miniature switch. It have to be the same size of the Wlan swtich located on your mobo

Buy one LM386-N1, a 12K and a 22K resistor.
go home and wire your LM386 like this scematic:

enjoy

PS: you can put 10 leds on the same output but it's better to limit at 6or 8
