Message Starting to program for PSP
Hi, I figured this would be a pretty good place to ask what the best libraries and easiest way to set up these libraries are to start programming homebrew games for the PSP.

Tutorials on how to use these would also be helpful but once I know the names I can probably find them myself.

Ahk that Cygwin and toolchain thing. I found a tutorial about that and it was going well until I tried to run the toolchain script. It told me I didn't have something installed, GMP I believe it was. Unfortunately I have no idea what this is or how to install it.

depending on exactly what you want to program, you may want to look into lua. all you need is a lua player on your psp (luaplayer euphoria v8 or lphmv8 for example) and a text editor. all the compiling is done on the psp. however, the lua language is a bit restricted on the psp, but for most simple homebrew games it should be sufficient.

Was looking at C programming languages as they're the most widely useful languages, start off with simple stuff and work my way up as I learn more about the language.
I really can't figure out this Cygwin thing though, I'm missing "gmp", whatever that is so can't install the PSP toolchain therefore I can't compile any programs I do right.

Yeah, I had the same issue with cygwin. I'm afraid the only safe solution is to use Linux. And if the toolchain script bitches about missing programs, you just have to install them and run it again (though I'm pretty sure it's feasible with cygwin, but I couldn't find any help on it).
