Message Psp 3004 - Upgrading(?)
Good evening.

So I have a Psp 3004 with cfw 5.03 Gen-c(full) [or 5.03 prometheus 4 when needed] and I would like to know if there's a new cfw available for the 300x series.

And if there's any is it safe to upgrade? Is there a risk of brick and/or will I be able to go back to 5.03 if I'm not satisfied? Will it be like 5.03/5.50 or does it need those iso loaders to make games readable?

Thanks in advance :)

Hello

I'm not speak very good english, but you can install the 6.20tn HEN-D, if you upgarde your psp with firmware 6.20

But the 6.20tn-D isn't a custom firmware as 5.03gen-c.

If you would like info :
http://www.pspgen.com/6-20-tn-hen-vsh-m ... 96132.html

Sorry for my english :D

6.20 TN-D needs loarders, I hear it's possible to downgrade to 5.03 if you don't like it, but I have not tested it myself.

6.35 has built-in loaders, but does NOT revert to 5.03

I have only found a few games that do not work on 6.20/6.35 but for the most part they work fine. they are all hen-loaded like 5.03, but these hens ARE the CFW.

I hope that helps some

Thank you for all the good info :D

One last question: Can you tell me how to downgrade from 6.20 to 5.03 if the cfw doesn't meet my expectations?

Once again thank you.

You can definitely revert from 6.20 to 5.03 or 6.35 to 5.03 if you're not happy with T_N or Pro's version. Tested myself and have not experienced any brick. Only the latest 3000 motherboard versions do not allow a downgrade to 5.03.

Unless you are hooked on PSX emulation, there is no reason not to upgrade.

6.35/6.20 Pro B latest version offers the same compatibilty as 5.03 GEN C in terms of emulation :) Some plugins are no longer compatible and you will not be able to use Dax's Popsloader for instance.

6.20 T_N D works fine but many emulators will freeze (CPS1/CPS2/MVS) and you will need Prometheus Loader to run games; some games won't work patched or not.

Hope it helps :)

*sets mod hat aside*
ok, I was wrong about 6.35 it's 6.37 that can't be downgraded. (I have been watching things and I tend to get mixed up at times.)

as far as features. 6.20 does have some disadvantages, but if you use the camera like I do you have to upgrade. (other than that I don't really know any MAJOR reasons to upgrade, but just thought I'd throw that out there)

*puts mod hat on*
