There's no reason not to trust this patch, unless you are a desperate GEN fanboy.
Tested the 6.20 TN D permanent patch on two brites and a psp GO! and no brick at all.
Yet, best option for you is to remain on 5.03 and launch the 5.03 GEN C for HEN; the LCFw is now signed and can be launched directly from the xmb within a few seconds, which makes a permanent patch less relevant.
5.03 GEN C is far more advanced than 6.20 TN and the Pro LCFw; increased plugins and homebrew compatibility, all emulators run at full speed without any problem, you can use Dax's popsloader and enjoy ps1 emulation, patched isos work fine
