Hello, I have a problem with a psp 1000 that got bricked somehow along the way.It had 5.50 gen d3 on it and one day I got an "blue screen" type of error where I was asked to press circle, I did, and it worked for a couple of more days until one day the screen remained black and the power light was the only one indicating that the psp is still alive.

I have a pandora battery, I tried to recover it but when I tried puting in the pandora battery in the psp the power light flashes once and then nothing happends.
Also I have a psp 2004 on wich the pandora battery working with the same mms card that i've tried on the 1000 bricked one.

P.S. Even with the L trigger pressed the result is the same.
Full brick, without the option to access the recovery menu.

What other options do I have available ?

In recovery mod, format flash is a solution to repair this problem?

I mentioned in the message that the psp is fully bricked, I cannot access the recovery menu.

You have the correct files on your memory stick?

The pandora flags the SYSCON at serial 0xFFFFFFFF, but needs to read something off the memory stick. Use DC8 or other solutions.

What do you mean by DC8 ?I am not familiar with the term.

I doubt that a PSP will brick itself. Probably it's the light of your LCD Display of your PSP ... Do you hear any sounds when you switch it to ON?

No sounds what so ever.Like I said, the power light turn on and off when I use the pandora battery and mmc.

You said blue screen? Weird, I only know of the red screen which is due to the incorrect flash0 files or due to corrupted flash0 files.

I can only think of a few things here:
Battery might need to be charge.
Hold different button combination with L/R to see if something pops up.
Remake your MMS with the latest upgrade (XGEN might be the latest) or all else fails use DC8.

Hope this solves the mystery...

*Edit: I remember the blue screen now It's part of the final update when upgrading firmwares and I think the final installer. No doubt about it, its bricked and hopefully without any hardware malfunctions.

I have tried all of the above except the dc8.I need one more baterry to do that and until I have it i'll wait.Thank you for the advise.

Rage, if you have, by any chance, a slim Pandora liying around somewhere, you can use it to revive your psp fat...

All you need to do, is make sure that your psp is plugged via the ac adapter, and that the battery is in the psp as well...

Once that is done, the pandora will fire up.

If your DDC is in a working condition, it WILL boot up after a few times.


Forgot to mention that you absolutely need to remove the battery once the DDC has started.
