Use of the forum

Always worried about the quality of the information which is distributed to you, PSPGen's team suggests you a small reminder on the good way to post a question or an information on our forum to improve the general legibility and quickly find informations in spite of the growing number of posts.

Rights about image and property

The names PSPGen, PSP Generation, PGen, PCGen, WiiGen, PS3Gen, iPhoneGen, ThemesGen, XBOXGen, RetroGen, Devsgen and MediaGen are the property of PSPGen. Using theses names for your own usage is a violation of laws.

The PGen logo and its variants are the intellectual property of PSPGen. Every person taking responsibility for this logo or a too strongly inspired model can be pursued for excessive use.

Articles, tutorials and informations on PSPGen are properties of PSPGen. Any copy towards another Web sites of these articles, tutorials and informations as is without preliminary agreement recovers from the excessive use.

Introduction on spelling and language

SMS language is the enemy of every forum. It trunks information, makes topics difficult to read, falses user search and search engines indexing task. Ponctuation, spaces and returns make posts pleasant and tempt others to answer.

Before sending your post, read it again you with the "Aperçu" button (preview function) to have an outline of the final shape of your post. That takes you only some seconds and it is more pleasant for all.

If you notice that once posted, your message still contains errors, use the button (At the top right of your message) to correct, instead of posting an answer to your own message.

Do not place sexual, sexist, racist or offensive comments in your messages, it is totally disturbing and it will be sanctioned.

Do not write in capital letters, this is not the way of showing that you are angry or hurry.

Do not answer 5 minutes later your own message to ask why we did not answer you, we are not constantly on the forum or maybe we don't have the answer.

Use the private messages system (PM) if you want to make a personal remark to a member, it's useless to do it in the forum.

1st indispensable stage : the search

Always begin to verify that your information or question was not already asked. For an effective search, use the "Rechercher" integrated search engine on the top of the forum.
If you find a subject which answers your question, you will have the satisfaction to obtain an immediate answer.
If you find a subject which speaks about your problem but does not give you all the information you wanted, you can then up this topic by placing an answer there to obtain more informations. Creating a new topc on the same subject would damage the legibility of the forum.

2nd stage : the creation of your message

In case your search gave nothing, you will have to create a subject.

The titles "Help" or "what do you think about" does not inform about the content of your message. When we read the forum we only see the title of your topic, that's why it has to be explicit.

If your title evokes nothing, it is less attractive and less interesting, we will have to search all the posts in detail if the titles do not inform about the contents, which is quite a loose of time.

We advise you to choose the title of your topic after writing your message, because the title has to summarize what you want to say, thus it is easier to create it at the end by reading your message again.

The content of the message : in your new post be clear, give a maximum of information so that we can help you, integrate screenshots of reasonable size if it is more explicit.
For an answer to an existing message, do not quote the completeness of a message which is just above yours, this does not help in the legibility, do not answer by a "yes" or a "no" alone, argue your comment.

3rd stage : the resolution of your problem

If the answer you get solved your problem, say it, it can help others in your case. Edit the first message (if you're the creator) and add [Solved] at the beginning of the title for a better legibility of the forum.
If you are not the author of the topic, you can either contact the author or a moderator to do it.

The avatar and the signature

Your avatar will not have to be offensive, obscene or contain a commercial link. Members can have the choice of their avatar, under reserve that they respect these rules. Any violating avatar will be deactivated.

Do not integrate into your profile a too long signature or too rich in graphs. The size of your banner will not have to overtake 500x100 and will not send back to an external link. If you want to put an external link in your signature, ask the authorization of an administrator, we are not your advertising hoarding. No link to a video games site is authorized. Signatures linking to commercial or advertising sites will be removed. Signatures not respecting these rules will be deactivated by the administrators. Recruiting or calling for participation to external sites is also prohibited.

PSPGen offers you a generator of avatars and banners HERE. Once your avatar and banner were created with the generator, they must not be modified via a software. If you wish to change it, use our generator as often as you wish.

The legality

Any message containing links or information about hacking, downloading commercial content, and any other indication that doesn't respect the french laws, which are athe only applicables on this site, will be deleted and his author suspended or banished. If your local country laws are different than ours, you can't apply them here because this site is established in France and under french laws only.
