I'm having problems with the popsloader plugin in 5.50 GEN-D3 when loading multi disk eboots.
I have all pops installed and the bug fix for older pops to allow disk changing but if I load any popsloader other than original from flash I cannot switch disks, the option is greyed out. This is troublesome as I am trying to play FFVIII, which doesn't work on 5.00 flash (I get a black screen)

Si quelqu'un qui passe dans le coin et qui maitrise l'anglais peut lui traduire ce que je vais noter , ça l'aidera certainement à bien comprendre les quelques points que je vais expliquer)


- La fonction multidisc n'est disponible qu'à partir du pops 3.71 , sur tous les pops inférieurs , lancer un eboot multidisc renverra sur un code d'erreur générale (80000004)

- L'option multidisc n'est disponible qu'au moment même du changement de disque , sans cela , elle reste grisée et inaccessible .

- Pour qu'un eboot multidisc soit fonctionnel , tous les disques doivent posséder le même GAME ID et SAVE ID (ou MAIN ID) lors de la conversion en eboot .

- Il faut impérativement utiliser psx2psp v1.3 ou v1.4.2 en "Classic mod" car le "Theme mod" bug sur les changements d'ID et ne les fait pas correctement .

- Pour FFVIII , il faut appliquer à l'eboot les GAME ID et SAVE ID (ou MAIN ID) "SLPS02180" et jouer en pops 4.01 ,
lors du Disque 3 sur la station spatiale il subsiste néanmoins un freeze qu'il faudra contourner en pops 3.71 , puis revenir ensuite au pops 4.01 une fois celui-ci passé .

- Le CF 5.50 GEN-D3 rencontre des bugs au niveau émulation PSX sur PSP , il est préférable de repasser en 5.50 GEN-D2 pour na pas y être confronté .

Thanks for the reply but this was a stupid brainfart on my part. The option being there proves it will work but its only available when the game asks for a disk switch. I can reset to any disk I want so all disks are available, sorry for this stupid brain-fart.

However...on the compatibility lists I've seen it tells you to run 3.80 pops when starting a new game to get past the opening cinematic but I've been running 4.01 pops and got through the FMV with no problems...how strange

The best method for FFVIII is :

IMPORTANT > Apply the game & save ID SLPS02180 & run the game on 4.01 pops

With this method , there is only 1 freeze on Disc 3 (in spatial station) , by-pass this freeze on 3.71 pops and return to 4.01 pops

It is the most stable method for this game

Sounds good, its what I've done to every disk in the game, no freezes when draw casting Scan on disk 1 so I should be fine for the rest of the game
