Hi friends,
I am computer science and engineer resides in INDIA.
I bought my PSP3004 last year with 5.50 OFW.

I searched forums and other sites for CFW. But nothing suits for my PSP.

So, If pspgen members can help me to study about psp and its peripherals.

So, that we can help to make a CFW...

Anyhow, am not so proficient, but i can help...


plz provide much details about what ICs resides in PSP, whats there function, what is the base for making CFW. and What kind of utilities we can use to do that and other information needed for making CFW works for PSP 5.50..


Provide us information and it ll help us all to do the CFW

God, you understand how much your asking right? No wonder no one has responded to this thread lol. It would takes pages upon pages to describe how to make a custom firmware and even the essentials.

Sorry, no one is going to hold your hand when explaining this stuff.
Use google and research the different aspects of the PSP and THEN ASK QUESTIONS. Their is A LOT of information on the web at your disposal. I recommend you start by creating a PSP environment on your PC by download/installing the PSP toolcain/SDK.

Once done, look at Team Wildcard's 4.01M33 source. It has some decent examples of making a replica (custom) IPL so that the crypto engine recognizes it.

The PSP's system is very secure now. The PSP you own is definitely not a developmental PSP as it is very easy to brick and their is no way to unbrick a PSP 3000. I recommend buying a cheap PSP 1000 because it uses a hardware exploit so that you can unbrick as many times as needed.

Yeah there are LOADS of websites where you can find that stuff...just google it!!
Pity PSPGen's only in French though...you would have found everything you wanted...
