As of today.... LDX-2 has been released by team LDX, and it has a bigger size (18mb).

This one is also a fake.

Ok, so it does work but the same as 5.50GEN. It doesn't run ANY 5.55 games.

It is not fake man. Thay have fixed the previous issues.

like:
can't access the memstick
can't access the save folder
no background colors
can't access the PSN Store
etc.

The only reason why newer games can't run is because of their newer security checking of anti-cfw. Remember the issue of the guy who can play his SC4 UMD with CFW installed. but, can't play it when he executed the game from his memstick. Meaning, our real enemy here is the anti-CFW Security being integrated on the boot.bin & eboot.bin of the game.

It was also mentioned on their blog that they have no intention of fooling us.

NOTE: in order to make this CFW run properly, you should make sure that you have installed 5.50 GEN-B... not B2. It will give you a lot of problems.

I have also tried installing this with our modded LDX-B. It gave me a headache.

By the way, the security patch for IL2-Sturmovik Birds of Pray is already out.

It does everything 5.50GEN-B does so why is this not a fake?

1st, you need 5.50GEN-B installed.
2nd, all it does is change a few files in the flash0 to the 5.55 versions.
3rd, it doesn't play any 5.55 games

They are just patching 5.50GEN-B so totally useless and fake.

Why even install this? If you want a good working CFW then just leave it at 5.50GEN....

IF it ran the 5.55 games THEN there would be a need for it. IF they get those features then maybe it'll be good but at the current state it is in its totally useless.

It is much stable than gen-b. especially when browsing your homebrews... the caching speed is much faster compared to gen-b.

Longer caching speed = shorter battery duration
= shorter memstick life-span

My previous memstick got broken due to frequent memstick access of cxmb. When starting up your PSP, and returning from your game to your xmb. It Shortened the life of my original memstick pro duo high speed.

But if you're not convinced. you can always stick to your beliefs. Everyone is a critic.

Not. due to the latest ANTI-CFW (memstick) Security being developed by Sony and other game devs. Red Squirrel recently altered IL2-Sturmovik Birds of Prey's BOOT.BIN & EBOOT.BIN so that the game will not recognize that it is being executed from the memstick. This is also the same with the issue of Soul Calibur 4. It checks if the game is being executed from the memstick.
