Hi all,
I just downloaded an other version of the GOD EATER demo I just found (God_Eater_JPN_DEMO_PSP-Googlecus). It is the UMD version of the demo.

Now, as I wasn't expecting it would run on the GEN-D3, I didn't get disappointed

Just for curiosity, I let EDecrypt try to decrpyt the eboot and it was successful (Tag: 0xD91612F0). Sadly it semi-freezes on the black screen.

Then I researched on the interwebz and found out it has CFW check :O
I mean, a demo with CFW Check? WTF?! How pointless is that? It prevents a high percentage of PSP users to even TRY the game legally oo

I just hope the full version won't have a CFW Check (But I doubt it won't )! I really NEED to play this game :S

sadly, they're ALL going to have these now.. the days of simple codes to pass a fw check are over. now the nitty gritty stuff comes in to play.

Untrue. Game developers choose to add these checks. I'm very sure Sony does not do anything but process/inspect/sign the game.

Example:
Army of Two: The 40th Day for PSP had no piracy checks despite it coming after the Japanese game; Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, which does.

Sony don't want especialy this check to be published any more because it can be use only for games which needs UMD
So their precious Go will die
If other that affective way is found that maybe it will be for most of the games
But.. not this one

SCEI puts checks in their UMD demos. and their UMDs. it's not always the best means, but for now they're using it.

Right, I didn't think about the GO.
Maybe it saves the CFW
