Message GEN Recovery Mode Question
OK, I have 5.03 GEN-C installed on my friend's PSP 3000.
Like an idiot, I turned vsh menu off in recovery mode.
And now I have no way to turn vsh menu back on, or get into recovery. :(

I have tried a couple things to solve this:

- tried using cfw enabler 3.70 to get to a recovery - didn't work
- tried a 3.50m33 recovery mode eboot - didn't work
- tried re-installing GEN-C - didn't work

So far - no luck... :(
Any suggestions?

Yep, i have one :)

Install "ultimate vsh menu" (you can enable the plugin with the "1" at the end of the line in the vsh.txt), launch a game and return to the XMB (that launch the plugin), then you can use the UVM, and go back to the recovery.

That would be a great idea, but since plugins are disabled in recovery - I can not use any plugins right now :/

That was a really bad idea...

Try start your PSP while holding Triangle, Square, select, start.

I don't know where the config of recovery is stored (perhaps flash1/config.se) but not sure :/

Perfect solution. :)
The tutorial you linked to says to delete config.se from Flash1.
I was wondering where that info was stored in flash.

Now here is the strange thing:
I installed PSP Filer 6.6 (and filer6.0 as used in the tut as well), put it into hacker mode, browsed to Flash1, and there is no config.se file there ?!?

Hmmmmm...

EDIT: Could someone please upload a config.se file from a PSP 3000 with 5.03 GEN-C ? It's a desperate measure, but maybe installing it to my Flash1 may work?

about the ultimate vsh plugin
U can enable plugins without recovery
I prefer that method because the recovery is not very stable and makes problems with many plugins
Here is how to enable the plugins trought the txt files
U need 3 fails made in the seplugins folder
vsh.txt -for vsh plugins
game.txt -for game plugins
pops.txt - for PS1 games
every line U wirte is one plugin -every line is the path to the prx file and it must be added " 1" after it
leave an empty line in the end of txt
here is an example
"ms0:/seplugins/popsloader.prx 1
"

i have heard that if you try holding the L and R shoulder buttons and pressing square, in the bottom left corner of the screen, there should be some green text toggling between vsh menu, recovery, and disabled. do that and stop pressing square when you see vsh menu. that may fix the problem.

The problem is he desactivate ALL plugins in the recovery.

So he can't load any plugins with the vsh.txt "1".
